Characteristics of Es Cavall d’en Borràs
This beach has the typical golden sand that we all look for, and crystal clear waters that will be very difficult to erase from your mind. In addition, its waters are usually very calm, so most of the time we will find the sea as a dish, making it a perfect place to relax.
For all these characteristics, it is usually a quite busy cove during the high season, and that is that most people who have visited this wonderful place are in love and usually return to enjoy again this wonderful beach.
It should be noted that, as it is located in the northern part of Formentera, it is within the Ses Salines Natural Park, so it is important to know that it cannot be accessed by quads, as they have been banned by the town council for some years.
In addition, it is important to take care of its surroundings and not to deteriorate the environment of this wonderful area, so that you can continue to enjoy Es Cavall d’en Borràs cove for many years to come. It is very important to take care of this beach and not leave any rubbish behind, as apart from being part of the natural park, it is also located within the marine reserve. This means that any waste we leave there, can directly condition all the species living in that area, something that must be avoided at all costs. There is no need to mention that being part of the marine reserve it is forbidden to carry out any fishing activities, which will result in heavy penalties for those who do so.
What to do in Beso Beach
As mentioned at the beginning of the article, this beach has also been known as Beso Beach for a few years now, due to the restaurant located a few metres from the cove.
For this same reason, if you want to enjoy the sun of the island all day long, going to es Cavall d’en Borràs can be one of the most viable options, spending the morning on the beach, and then going to eat at the Beso Beach beach bar.
At the restaurant there are 2 shifts of meals, distributed at 13 h and 16 h. In my opinion, if you plan to eat at the restaurant, I would recommend a hearty breakfast and assistance during the second shift, as this way you can enjoy the beach all morning. Also, after lunch you can stay at the restaurant for a few drinks, as it then becomes a place where there is a lot of atmosphere with a few hours of good music.
Moreover, after being surrounded by a good atmosphere having a few drinks, when it gets dark you can enjoy the wonderful sunset in Formentera, since the beach is located in the Northwest part of the island so you do not miss any detail.
It is worth mentioning that the place is a bit expensive, although the quality of the food and the service has nothing to envy to other restaurants in Formentera, which could be even more expensive than the Beso Beach with a lower quality.
